Product Datasheets
| MMP16
Matrix metalloproteinase-16 (MMP16) is an enzyme encoded by the MMP16 gene. Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. This gene produces at least two transcripts, one which encodes a membrane-bound form and another a soluble form of the protein. Both forms of the protein activate MMP2 by cleavage.| Typical data
As the OD values of the standard curve may vary according to the conditions of the actual assay performance (e.g. operator, pipetting technique, wash technique or temperature effects), the operator should establish a standard curve for each test. Typical standard curve and data are provided below for reference only.Concentration (ng/mL) | 10 | 5 | 2.5 | 1.25 | 0.62 | 0.31 | 0.15 | 0 |
OD | 2.64 | 1.78 | 1.09 | 0.64 | 0.41 | 0.31 | 0.23 | 0.09 |
Corrected OD | 2.55 | 1.69 | 1 | 0.55 | 0.32 | 0.22 | 0.14 | - |
| Repeatability
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):CV% < 10%; Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):CV% < 10%| Recovery
The recovery of Human MMP16 spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.Sample Type | Range(%) | Average Recovery(%) |
Serum(n=8) | 84-101 | 96 |
Plasma(n=8) | 92-106 | 102 |
Tissue Homogenates(n=8) | 96-109 | 105 |
| Linearity
Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Human MMP16 and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.Serum(n=4) | Plasma(n=4) | Tissue Homogenates(n=4) | ||
